I don't care if they don't stop- I'm not certain people should be making money selling children mind numbing violent garbage- especially not if they imitate it (but I also think you need good studies on things before you act on belief- because sometimes belief doesn't allign with reality). My only point about the difference between the hammer and the cigarette, is that you hit someone with a hammer once, you've tried it- but you start smoking, and you may be a smoker for life. I'd say the odds of being a hammer fiend for life are small- but hey, I'm ok with them eliminating the violence- that's probably a good thing. Kids do need nannies, and while I don't think adults need them as often, I think nanny legislation makes a lot of sense where kids are concerned, because making money off kids is an amoral activity, and the free market wouldn't care if our kids got hooked on crack, and never left their game cubes, if that fed the free market.
