Indeed it does. The ADA affects most business firms and governments, especially in new construction. All the more interesting when you consider it was George H.W. Bush who pushed hard to get it through congress.
For a few years I assisted a group to help disabled folks get jobs. One of our more interesting encounters was a corporate v.p who wondered why anyone would want to go through the hassle of hiring 'gimps, crips and wierdos?' He was referring to a disabled Vietnam veteran in a wheelchair who had applied for a clerical position.
