NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 9, 2006--During the quarter ended June 30, 2006, Harris & Harris Group, Inc.®, invested a total of $8,752,253 in privately held companies working at the nanoscale. Three of these were initial deals, in which the Company invested a total of $5,000,547. Four of these were follow-on deals, in which the Company invested a total of $3,751,706. Since the close of the second quarter, the Company has invested an additional $115,598 in follow-on deals in companies working at the nanoscale. In summary, in 2006 to date, we have invested a total of $18,280,615 in tiny-technology companies, versus a total of $16,251,339 in all of 2005.
