Some parents don't want to do their job but would rather point fingers. Many kindergarten and first grade teachers will tell you the same thing.

I wonder if those who complained about Tom and Jerry cartoons have lodged similar complaints about the endless stream of violent and sexual music videos and the multitude of Xbox/Sony etc. videos filled with violence sex. I wonder if they have lodged complaints about the gratuitous sex and violence in the movie and television industry.

Then there is the condom education in schools. That has really worked to prevent pregnancy in the USA.

It is both interesting and fascinating how quickly the UK government office reacted to this series of complaints. If they have the power, one might think that is what they should be doing in the first place. But, maybe they are like the FCC - express concern and issue fines after the fact.
