ADIC Hldrs OK Acquisition By Quantum DOW JONES NEWSWIRES August 18, 2006 4:28 p.m. A majority of Advanced Digital Information Corp.'s (ADIC) shareholders approved its acquisition by Quantum Corp. (DSS), in a deal valued at $770 million. Advanced Digital, a Redmond, Wash., maker of automated tape storage systems and drive technologies, expects the deal to close Tuesday. The companies announced the deal in May and said Advanced Digital shareholders will receive $12.25, or the right to take 3.461 shares of Quantum stock for each Advanced Digital share they own.
