I don't see how Apple can go at it alone, to design and build a cell phone, without the involvement of some of the biggies like Samsung, Nokia, Ericsson, or Motorola.

One wonders how much Apple learned from the Motorola phone.

Remember Xerox? And dumbo's who let him see the mouse? Didn't take Apple long to surpass the master. That was Jobs baby and there is a lot of speculation he's excited about the iPhone. Yeah it makes more and more sense.

Touch screen could do for the mobile device what the mouse did for computers. The analogy is VERY similar. Think of touch pads now, they are mice. This is the kind of change Jobs loves to execute. Something no one expects. Just putting together two technologies in a logical way before anyone else realizes it.

Like the micro hard drive and the music player.

And Synaptics has announced a concept phone based on new "ClearPad" technology. Synaptics manufactured iPod controllers. So Apple probably got to see their tech first. It all fits.

Jobs wants to change the world again. This would really blow minds.
