In any case, my anecdotal observation is that when the weather people are in agreement, they - generally - should not be faded. Otoh, when large groups of economists develop a consensus, they are probably wrong. Must have something to do with our natural tendency to extrapolate. We all know that weather is "unpredictable" - so, we must rely more on empiric facts rather then on our judgment... :)
