Commodities are on a downward cycle since they are way over the devaluation in the dollar to the world. The dollar relative to other currencies fails to capture the overall devaluation of the fiat currencies. So it's appropriate that commodities increase at a much greater rate than the dollar falls against, say, the Yen or Euro.
