As one reply on the linked website says, there is no correlation on the left of that chart.

Britain's housing bubble started to collapse when America was still enjoying an upsurge-so the global economy is strong. I think you could make a case it's weaker now.

This unprecedented liquidity surge combined with looser lending policies and new mortgage products should mean there is less correlation.
