Hence Israel's insistence (using your logic) that the mass murdering of civilians in Lebanon is a-ok and hunky-dorry business as usual.

Israel doesn't claim that, and I would not support the claim if it did. The point being is that there has been no mass murder of Lebanese civilians by the IDF.
