Now BP is going to be really under the microscope for a while. >>Regarding Susan Butcher: We were privileged to help hold her dogs back at the start of the Iditarod for one of the races.<< As a bystander, I got to tromp on the sled brakes briefly for an Iditarod musher when his team took a wrong turn on the way out of town. Part of the team laid down for a rest, some sat down and howled, and the wheel dogs kept trying to jerk the sled back into motion. The power of just two fresh eager dogs is amazing! Susan's loss is terribly sad, but at least she had children who perhaps may one day carry on her tradition.
