Liar. We could get off Arab oil completely in 15 years without costing the US economy a single job. One of the biggest lies the pro-oil lobbyists (including Bush) tell is that addiction to oil and more pollution is good for the economy. In fact, we need desperately to be freed from it and we cannot drill out way out even if we drilled every inch of Alaska. The conservatiion and clean fuels programs Carter created would have had us 100% off Arfab oil by now, but Reaganites killed them all. That has to be done all over again, times ten. Not a single job will be lost in the process, except maybe a few in the gas gouging and pollution lobbyist sector.
