I get the point about art, but the reality is that Oscar is a business.

I used the Oscars as an illustration of the more recent attitude (which I consider a PC approach) to the very notion of competition and winners/losers. Since the Academy itself used the term "winner" for eons, I defer to its own characterization. The change in language reflects nothing more than today's hypersensitivity and full on embrace of all things PC. JMO
