It's a tough call IMO. Apple Macs have been revered for lasting and lasting and lasting; almost like the Energizer Bunny. Thing is that now that Apple has attained price parity with the Wintel world, well what do you know, hardware reliability has come down too, to match the Wintel world, almost. Nothing's free, I guess. This story about the batteries is primarily a fault of Sony but just as much a fault of Apple who didn't test the crap out of the batteries. This has been a pretty bad year for Sony who just seems to get hit with a pie everytime they say things are looking up.
