As I said, the numbers were nowhere near the numbers that are now. In fact most of the deaths under Saddam were due to the Iran-Iraq war and the Shiite and Kurd traitors that supported Iran against their own state. During our civil war and the war of indepence, traitors were dealt the same exact way. Hell, traitors were dealt the same way by any state at and time in history... The fact is that if you let the religion genie out of the box in muslim countries (like it's the case now with Shiites and Sunnis) you end up with the mess that you see. Saddam had the right idea and was the right guy for the region. Anyone who says otherwise is blinded at the facts.
