Apple accounts for 50%+ of total revenue from overseas, which
indicates Apple is an international company. Umax has its branch
in Japan called Umax Japan (if you look into their web site). Umax
just had an expo in Beijing, China, and France. Like IBM, Apple
should expand its products to every corner of the world, especially
should focus more in booming markets in Asia and Europe at present
time. Umax might help Apple to penetrate more into international
markets, and could supply Apple with competitive components, such
as motherboard, DRAM, etc. Like I said before, Apple should shift
its production lines near where the booming areas are.

Umax has significant profits on selling Mac products due to its
effective international marketing strategies, where Apple lacks of.
If both can cooperate well, then Apple not only can reduce its
products cost, but also it can well expand its market share
internationally.

IMHO
