Before the flames start, Solon, let me compliment you on that post. Well thought out.

Another theory that doesn't get much attention is that neither species actually went extinct, but that there was interbreeding, and that DNA of both are in modern chromosomes. If you accept that theory, it can explain a lot about how modern people look, think, and act.
