hmmm... that article is a little off or they worded it incorrectly. The 800K notebooks was for the April-June period, 3 mos, not 6 mos. This was reported in Apple's june quarter afterall. Maybe the Gartner numbers (12%) are for a 6-mos period, but even then it was back end loaded. Well- we will get a truer picture of core demand for apple notebooks this quarter, but even so there are still backlogs and stock outs.
