Figure out? Or merely bow down to those Islamic and/or Secular Totalitarian powers that have the means to violently coerce their subjugation??

Because you see, my friend, when there is no democratic process, and/or rule of law that protects the basic human rights of everyone, the only thing that gets "figure out" is that one group will ultimately have more weapons and organization that permit them to rule and oppress everyone else.

Sure, but the same could be said of numerous post-colonial, post-dictatorial countries/regions. The Indians and the Chinese have been on their own for ~60 years, and the past 10-15 for both have been fantastic. They had a bunch of starts and stops, but eventually got it right, and are improving year by year now. Same with South Korea, a military dictatorship until the '80's, now a model of democractic capitalism. South American countries all went through various craziness in the middle of the previous centuries, and are still trying to figure out what is best for them.
