Maggie,

Do you own a snorkle? Now's the time to practice! It rained all night and the principal just called .... no schools are open. As long as the phone lines stay up I'm still OK. El Centro is near Yuma (60 miles west). This is the second hurricane we've been through. Usually the wind dies as it hits land but the water saturation is what the desert has to be prepared for. Once the ground has been soaked then the flash floods and standing road water take their toll. It should hit about noon today. The desert will once again be the bottom of a large body of water.....hope Black Rock will still be in the same place when the water worms it's way back down the Colorado.<G>

Tothemoonalice!
Inasubmarine!
