yeah but that is my point. Apple isn't recognized as a major computer vendor by analysts. Analysts model around 600K laptops per quarter for apple. Say the RSD issue is a 25% problem for MACBOOKS only, I am being extremely generous because I don't think this affects 25% of buyers. But lets say it does. You would be looking at repairs of about 75K units. Not enough to matter to any company.

To put it in perspective the battery recall is 1.8 million units.

The reality is that Apple is going to sell one million macbooks per quarter very soon, so 25% is a larger number 250K, still not a calamity- a problem that needs to be fixed sure.
