Since Islamic Jihad's avowed intention is to destroy all of us infidels or reduce us to dhimmitude if we are willing to surrender but refuse to convert, then they have already declared war on us ideologically. They just lack the practical methods of killing us.
In the particular case of Israel and Jews, their language could not be more explicit or irrationally exuberant.
Once they have got noocular bombs and a means of delivering them, they will be inclined to start putting a lot more pressure on and perhaps including actual use of said bombs. After all, the only reason to build one is that one can envisage circumstances when it would be a good idea to use it.
So, for example, the USA has already used two. Very successfully too. They built thousands more for just such circumstances as ideological whack jobs attempting to force megalomaniac ideas on Americans. The United Nations was formed in an attempt to avoid megalomaniacs like Germany and Japan marauding across the landscape, murdering millions.
The only reason Iran is building nukes is to use them. Maybe they would use them on other Moslems such as Saddam's Iraq. But they would definitely like to use them on Israel and will do so if they get a chance. While Israel is full of irrationality too - Chosen People nonsense, Promised Land MADness, and they write G-d like that, when they could write G-- or simply write God, or god to avoid being presumptuous and using a capital letter as though --- needs help, calling a spade a spade instead of inventing another letter in the alphabet [I wonder how they say the G-word - leave out the o?] they haven't gone around threatening to wipe out other people en masse and convert their country to wasteland, though they have conducted terrorist operations and land confiscation, sometimes in response to attacks, which is fair enough, but also before that, when they were conducting terrorist murders and bombings such as that of the King David Hotel to terrorize the British into clearing out.
Anyway, perhaps a demonstration 10 km high after a suitable warning, perhaps over a desert area, would show the local yokels what they are heading for with their murderous threats.
The USA has excellent launch facilities. Perhaps they could announce a new nuclear test programme. Explode a little one 100km above Tehran, at night, for full visual effect, then each month do one a bit lower and a bit bigger until Iran agrees to adopt the new constitution and have NUN inspectors check around to make sure they aren't up to no good.
We wouldn't allow Adolf to get hold of nukes. Well, that's what the Islamic Jihad equivalent is planning and they have already declared war on Israel and the rest of us. Let's call a spade a spade and --- "dog".

PS: This is just an idea, not something anybody should copy/paste/launch. I'd want to sleep on it before getting too serious. I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm a wacko extremist with crazy ideas. Maybe ask Tehran's bosses what they think of the idea. One wouldn't want to do anything stupid. On the other hand, surprises are always fun. Japan certainly had a change of heart when their invasions and bulk murdering ended with two big surprise bangs. |
