Sailor, Re: "What' happening to the bid/ask on VVUS before open this AM ". A couple of brokerage firms have started selling;around 160000 shares so far.Their hope is to scare the little guy who bought at 38.6, possibly on margin, and make him sell. Then they scoop it up at 36. This afternoon or tomorrow our good friendds gg at Smith& Barney, or @ Herzog plus this AMs sellers will come in and start buying and push the price up to 37.75-38 again.Little guy is going to fel like an idiot.Some will buy back!! what they just sold today and yesterday!! Market is a little choppy this AM because people are woried about durable goods orders ( what else ); so much foe Gary's worry-free market theory.They worry that Q3 eps won't be met by a lot of companies, acording to Dow Jones ( evidence so far indicates that htey will;those that won't,have preannounced.).If the bear market was coming, Trvelers yesterday wouldn't have paid top- 8 Billion - dollar for Solomon Bros: they would have waited for the bear market and bought it on sale. IMHO however one of the most important reasons is that end of 3rd week ,beggining of 4th week of the month are usually very weak because nobody sends 401K check to The Funds.Similarly the last 3 days and the first 3 days of the month are the stongest BECAUSE of the check coming in!! Vivus today, maybe tomorrow a little choppy. Mon Sep 28 we start to fly again;maybe we'll be up some more this PM.Bought some more this AM at 36.3. TA
