I'm sure that anyone can have any kind of personal opinion... but I'm not aware of what you mentioned above ever being a problem ANYWHERE. (Churches being stopped from having nativity scenes on their own property....)
I am aware of places where suits have prevented GOVERNMENT officials from using TAXPAYER'S money to lay out nativity scenes on PUBLIC PROPERTY though. (Just as I'm sure there would be even-handed opposition to Islamic, Jewish, Hindu, etc. religious displays paid for with taxpayer money.)
I agree that that's appropriate: the government should not endorse, nor take sides, in religion. |
