Never gave much thought to the IRA or ever met anyone that did(I'm Catholic). I certainly never "got a rise" out of their bombing activities, they way Moslem populations do out of mass murder. I thought those actions were sad. Never saw one pro-IRA rally around here. I don't think the IRA wanted every Britain dead either, just out of Northern Ireland. The IRA were terrorists and did not seem to elicit a great deal of support from Catholics worldwide. Osama Bin Laden is considered a HERO by the vast majority of the populace in Moslem nations. I can't even remember the name of the buck-toothed guy that headed up the IRA - Gerry Adams? Seems like quite a difference.
