Calling people an m-f has not gone in to the vernacular where I live. High school kids may use it, but I can't honestly recall the last time I heard an adult use such language. It just isn't done. Perhaps the suburbs are a kinder gentler place- if so, I'm glad I live in one. But actually, I can't recall hearing anyone in SF ever call someone an M-F. Even the street people are relatively polite.

I have seen a few drivers- usually teens- flip people off in other cars, but even that is very rare here.
