Your assumption might be correct.

But the shenanigans might also result in a treble damage case if Q sticks to its guns and demands royalties for GSM. Granted, an unlikely result, but once the dogs of war are loosed, there is no telling where they will end up or what they will do.

I think we need to focus on NOK's more substantive defenses, such as the extent of its WCDMA IPR and its claim on EvDO.

But I can't get the tech knowledgeable to respond so I might have to delve into these subjects myself, though my product will be not very good.
