Karl,

I suppose that gravity will flow most downhill toward the Gulf of California then the remainder will leach at the ground water table followed by evaporation due to the intense heat and winds of the desert. In a couple of months the desert will be dry and will errupt into the most beautiful botanical garden of wild desert flowers not seen in years since the last major precipitation. IPM will still rely on the Colorado and the canal that feeds the local farm land.
