(My second post on the Infinity Yahoo thread, fwiw)

Doesn't matter how I spin it, anybody can spin
it the other way. Bullwink7 said "The decision is
this.. Here is biotech company with 343 million
market cap, with appx 150 million cash and Phase
I cancer drug in partnership with MEDI"

Well, when you put it that way, it doesn't sound
so exciting.

Truth be told, the best play today was sell
around the opening, and buy back around the
close. I could have extracted a half point
on my shares and got back in easily enough.

So, sour grapes. 300M it is, which is fair.
I am glad they've partnered up before going
into phase II--no complaints! Yeah, I missed
a trade, but I am a terrible trader so I don't
do it anymore. I leave that to others, perhaps
Bullwinkle is one of those, fair enough.

Still, with dpii at $3.5, or $93M marketcap
and representing 31% of the company, INFI is
really 300M. It isn't an expensive stock by
any means. Of course it is speculative.
Daytraders buying today will give up their
shares--as the last one bails, the smart
money will come along and scoop up the shares,
and wait for the next PR. Then gap up and
repeat. It is enough to make you seasick, but
that is the game I guess.

...........................
Maybe if I had seen the news at 7am rather than
9am, had a chance to process it--who knows, maybe
I could have snagged a nice trade.

I wonder why I do this, maybe I ought to have a
buzzer in my pocket, It would have gone off when
dpii hit $4, I'd have bought Kosan at $3 today,
and switch back and forth a few times. Ha! Who am
I kidding, I don't ever trade, it'll all backfire if I try.

Goodnight all, I will leave this last scrap here for
somebody to find

In the case of marine natural products that
arise through the polyketide pathway, like the bryostatins
and others, this ambitious goal may perhaps be realised
within the next couple of years

Well, that was written in 2002.
