While analysts rank Costco's buyer demographics higher, I think there are many exceptions to your perceptions. ;-)

The two stores are really "apples and oranges." I see it very clearly here. You pay at least $45 a year to shop at Costco. Wal Mart is free. Costco is "bulk buy." I buy single items at Wal Mart. Costco has a much lower "labor to volume" cost because of this.

My Wal Mart is the low income store. My Costco has the rich people. Middle income people split.
