Eleven months after Hurricane Katrina hit, firefighters broke through a back door of a destroyed home filled with debris and furniture and found skeletal remains.

The remains were found yesterday in a home in eastern New Orleans. The discovery was made after the Louisiana Family Assistance Center in Baton Rouge received information from a woman's son who said he believed she was still in her house.

It took him 11 mos. to figure out his mother wasn't around? Wow! They must have been very close!

Watching some news shows last nite........NOLA still looks very bad. I am surprised at how little has been done. People still have that blue plastic over their roofs. And you know those trailers sitting in Hope, Ark.........they have cost US taxpayers $334 million dollars to date.

I suspect things are not much better in TX either. How are your parents doing?
