"Perhaps I am mistaken, but I don't believe even Math is claiming that Brinker has told any subscriber that uses any conservative or aggressive portfolio of his to sell the QQQs bought according to his advice prior to March 2003."

You're right - I'm not claiming that.

"As to Math's claim that the QQQs made a nice run after Brinker rather dishonestly stopped talking about them in March 03--"

Why do you call it a "claim"? Look up the numbers yourself if you don't believe me.

"...then why didn't Brinker close out the position?"

Why would he close out the position when he's still bullish?

"So having ridden it down to 19.00 and having Brinker stop covering the position at 25.00, is a move to 42.00 something to get all excited about?"

It's a heck of a lot better than 25!

"Looks to me to require another double to be even."

You're leaving out the fact that subscribers who followed the October 2000 call AND the January 2000 call are up at least 25%, and ahead of the market by at least 30%.

"Doesn't the whole deal when taken in context show how silly Bob Brinker's marketiming claims are?"

No, because you're leaving out the fact above, and you're leaving out the fact that he used different methodology for the QQQ bulletin than he uses to decide whether he is bullish or bearish.

"Told em to sell 65% but buy TEFQX and he was going to hold Msft and that his call had nothing to do with the Nasdaq --likely leading them to hold VOD and other tech laden areas in their 35%..."

He had hold ratings on SPY, DIA, and GAB, too. Are you claiming that he meant that subscribers should not sell any of those either?

As for telling people that his call had nothing to do with the Nasdaq, by that time subscribers had already done their selling, so it was too late to have an effect on the result.

You're also leaving out the fact that he had said numerous times previously that when the general market went down, tech stocks would go down even more.

Guessing about which subscribers did what is pointless. The fact is that subscribers had to make their own decisions about which part of their stock holdings to sell, owing to the fact that he has always had a variety of investments to choose from. I see no reason to ASSUME that his hold ratings on MSFT, VOD, SPY, DIA, QQQ, UTEK, and GAB were all intended to override the 60/65% sell recommendation.
