Now compare with the guy on a summer holiday writing about the place he spent a couple of days. Being there is what it matters. I wrote about Nigeria, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, the whole South East Asia, Latin America, Africa and Middle East, because I lived and worked in those places in the last 23 years.

Then there's the quality of the observations which I live for this Forum's readership to judge by themselves.
