I'm not blaming the Israelis ALONE for the problems, but seizing an already occupied land in a volitale location and claiming it as their own certainly has caused most of the problems.

Wasn't much of that land seized during the 6 day war? Originally it was to be returned when the nations who owned it recognized Israels right to exist and signed permanent peace treaties. Egypt did that and got it's land back. Syria contests the Lebanese claim to the farms, but will not make peace. So instead of leaving the land empty, it had to be protected, Israel over time allowed settlement. Of course Israel tried to give back land to the Palestinians so they increased their missile fire at israel. Perhaps Israel needs to simply invade Palestine and deport it's inhabitants to Iran.
