Let's repeat this for the third time. Direct sales by the US to Iraq are one thing, allowing or encouraging third party sales has essentially the same result but doesn't cause as much embarrassment to the US government.

Just because it's covert doesn't mean it didn't happen LOL. Even corporate media reported that US troops found US armaments in Iraq after the invasion.

In the same vein, allowing sales to go through with a wink and a nod isn't exactly the same thing as getting POs but it also has the same effect.

Also, in this same line of reasoning, providing targeting information isn't exactly the same as shooting directly at the target but it's the same thing in the moral equivalency area.

You think much too narrowly.
