So let me see if I have this right:

1. The Popular Mechanics Book only addresses and discredits the craziest of the conspiracy theories, not the really legit conspiracy theories.

2. Really wacky conspiracy theories were started by groups loyal to the US government in an effort to distract the true researchers and to make it look like all conspiracy theories were nuts.

3. Sites that claim to be legit conspiracy theory researchers list the theories that are obviously wacky, ridiculous and intentional distractions.

So, with those points clarified, why are we still discussing these wacky, ridiculous theories on this message board (ie. phone calls faked to the families, something other than a plane hit the Pentagon, Flight 93 was taken somewhere and the passangers and crew killed, there was no crash in Pennsylvania, etc.?)
