I would probably have a slightly different definition of what would be considered part of the invasion or not than you do, but rather than focus on that semantic distinction why don't you deal with the main them of the post -

"Even if we assume all of your negative statements about Iraq are 100% true. Assume that not only won't we succeed but that there was never a chance that we would succeed. Assume that Iraq Baghdad will be tremendously violent for the next half century (I assumed you don't literally mean forever, a half century seems long enough), assume the US gets bogged down in Iraq and winds up losing more soldiers than we lost in Vietnam rather than the tiny fraction that we have so far lost. Assume all of that and more (and they are not really reasonable assumptions) and you still don't get to anything near the worst military disaster in history."
