sp- ...college football starts tomorrow. Who you like? i like my lobos. i may even go to a game this fall. they're not champions but they're great underdawgs to root for. once in a while they make a great play or even win a game that they shouldn't. they've nurtured a few good pro-to-be players too... brian urlacher is one. i love coach rocky long who was a star quarterback for the lobos in the early 70's. he and i are the same age. golobos.cstv.com when it comes down to bowl season i like the pac10 teams and the florida teams. i lived in tallahassee three years when i was a kid. my mom taught women's PE at FSU. i don't care for bobby bowden as a person (a lot of people do and he certainly has a great record of wins) but i often root for the seminoles. buckeyes? yeah. i like 'em. tennessee? yep. the horned frogs? of course. wolverines? you bet. sooners, cornhuskers, and the longhorns??? nah. you can have 'em. texas tech and the aggies?? oak hay! razorbacks? uuhmm... maybe... sometimes. air force, army, navy??? fook 'em. lots of others i can't think of right now... i like 'em and i don't like 'em. depends on who they're playin'. <g> the game of football? gotta be one of the greatest sports! all out smashmouth between consenting participants... ending in hugs and handshakes. it doesn't get any better than that! cheating is punished. only better sport on the planet is golf where participants call their own penalties on themselves. -ep
