bp, CNBC just did a review on FDA reforms. Off label use was mentioned which was good for all, but concern was raised about small companies going overboard on hype. Phen/fen also came up, but excellent track record of FDA was cited and phen/fen was described as the exception.

On how to find next blockbuster drug, listeners were encouraged to look at strong Phase II data. Concept and Phase I was to be avoided.

Waiting for approval was "frequently too late".
