Geez, the integration plan I proposed occurs over 20-50 YEARS! There is no "sudden absorbtion" of all Pal economic needs. Doesn't anyone here read?
Note that Elroy has never (that I've seen) stated that Palestinians should permit the immigration of Israeli Jews into the West Bank and Gaza. He doesn't want to admit that under Palestinian law, it is a capital offense to sell land to a Jew.
Sigh. In my plan Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza become one New Country. Palestinians and Jews do not allow each other to immigrate to their respective areas - it is one country. There is no Pal law and Israeli law, there is New Country law. They all become citizens of one country which combines both areas. You can move to wherever you can afford a house....
There is no possibility for a unification of Israel and Palestine, even as separate autonomous states of a larger bi-lateral federation/confederation, until there exists a merging of a commonly observed rule of law which states the rights of the people being governed.
Agreed. That will take time. Thus 20-50 years (1 to 2 generations of humans) to complete the integration.
Besides, the whole scenario is ridiculous to even consider since "Arab honor" (or even Jewish honor) would prevent such a concession.
Then how do you explain Nadine's claim that Barak nationalized 150k Palesstinians during the Camp David negotiations? Arab and Israeli "honor" didn't seem to prevent that. That little bit of history shows it can be done. In 20-50 years, with loads of outside support (all the external money spent defending Israel and fighting Israel and supporting Pal refugees) could go toward peaceful integration, ideally.
Sadly, the only resolution to the Arab-Israeli conflict will be one that is imposed from outside of the participants involved in the conflict.
