You also thought that Hearst would be defeated in Deadwood. Whereas, if you'd taken the trouble to actually look, George Hearst took control of all the mines in the area, consolidated them into the Homestake Mine, moved to San Francisco, became US Senator, became editor of the San Francisco Chronicle, fathered William Randolph Hearst, and generally lead a long life as a nearly unstoppable force of nature until dying in his bed in 1891.

So maybe it would behoove you to pay better attention to your surroundings and other things external to your own wants and needs.

For example, Rumsfeld has always said that the end of the war is "unknowable". "Unknowable" has a specific, distinct meaning that you could look up if you aren't already cognizant of that meaning.
