If it appears that Hamas is attempting to build up arms in any ceasefire, Palestine may be subjected to the same war that israel launched against Lebanon. At this point, Israel needs a big win, a total devastation of it's enemy. I think Nasrallah knows it and Hamas knows it. Right now many Muslims believe that israel has been defeated, and this may be the opportune time for both Lebanon and Palestine to seek peace. It would look like a win for them, if they get some concessions and Israel will get the peace it craves. OTOH if there are further attacks, Israel is liable to pull out all the stops, to prove it can, and will destroy it's enemies. So it is possible for the Muslims to win, by making peace efforts, or lose a lot without them.
