Bush is the most unpopular president in a century, and the GOP congress and Dick Cheney are mired down at about 20% approvals. A poll came out the other day with Bush at 32% approvals which means about 25% of Republicans don't even like him anymore. That's even less than Nixon had the week he resigned in disgrace.

Furthermore, the polls in the individual races are moving in the democrats' favor. Now some 35 races are looking good for dems. Even on Fox News last night the conservative pundits admitted people just plain want change. Even Sean Hannity admitted maybe the Republicans need a few years out of power to straighten themselves up. So how is Rove going to cheat his way out of this? Answer, he can't. Even the senate looks like it might switch hands, though Dems need a straight flush and to take out "Macaca" Allen for that to happen.
