I think the fact that we've had a calm season thus far is not probative of anything except perhaps the fact that we do yet fully comprehend the factors which influence the complexity of weather patterns.

Not that our lack of knowledge has prevented any number of self-appointed experts from opining.

The bigger the opinion, i.e., man-made global warming, global cooling [in the '80s], phrenology's validity, etc., the bigger the margin for error. In my opinion.

And we are still in the lion's den, metereologically speaking.
