The different role of women from their traditional role is a very very recent phenomenon and it has not been existence long enough to establish that it will work for society.
...
it has to be asked if it will work for the whole. Modern women assert that it can and will and there will be no going back. The truth of the matter is that this is an experiment in uncharted, and I think, dangerous waters. We have broken a mold and not replaced it. The longterm results of this are unknown.

This is all true.

However, it is equally true about the ending of slavery, mechanical industry, effective medicine, the internal combustion engine, unrestricted democracy, electricity, mass production, mass education, and the computer. To name but a few advances of the last 200 years.

I'm happy to accept all of these and more without further testing to be sure that they 'will work for society', recent though they all are and despite the changes all have and will entail. Have you given up all of these?

And I hope that you've sworn off antibiotics (called by some the greatest medical advance of the 20thC), never fly, phone or watch TV, and of course abstain from eating any food out of season.

(I will not ask if you or a partner have ever used contraception, obviously. Even though this has done much to aid and empower women, the change you seem to deplore.)
