JG, I know that Hunter and Garcia were a great team. I bought the one album Hunter made with his own band and though the lyrics were still good, they lacked the zip that the Dead gave them. I also loved a lot of the lyrics that Barlow whipped up for Bob Weir and the third really dead keyboard player. Man, you had to have guts to play keyboards for the Dead. First Pigpen died of liver disease, then the guy who was married to Donna died in a car wreck, and then Mydland died. But when Barlow became Republican State Chairman for Colorado, I think he lost a bit of his credibility with the tie-dyed crew. -G- I like Mark Mobius and the idea of a Russian fund is appealing. But a 15 percent premium to NAV is something I can't stomach. I do own his Dragon Fund, which sells at a nice discount of 20 percent. It's funny how the same guy can be smart when he invests in Russia and stupid when he puts money in Hong Kong and China. Of course, if the market made sense, how could I make money playing the overlays and underlays? -G- MB
