Not correct. True communism as inspired by Marx is being practiced by the kibbutzim in Israel. Most are doing well. Some are doing very well.

It has a much easier time working when everyone knows everyone else, like in a kibbutz. It's fairly easy to get even conservative types to give something of themselves to improve the lives of people that they actually know and who look and act like them but are less fortunate.

It gets trickier to get people to commit to give of themselves to people that they don't know.


I agree. My only point to Ten is that not all communistic societies have failed. I think the problem with Marx's theorem is not that its flawed but rather that it doesn't take into account the nature of people.
