If the US government financed and protected Hizbollah I would be harshly critical of their behavior. But our responsibility is first and foremost with what WE do. If WE commit war crimes or if WE provide the money and means to those who commit war crimes, then WE should do everything in our power to stop ourselves first. Then, and only then, do we have the right to denounce the artocities of others and exercise the opportunity to show the world what real global leadership for human rights, rule of law, democracy and freedom really means.

What leadership in these values does NOT mean is that we have the right to commit atrocities. Every atrocity we commit, finance, enable or endorse cuts into the heart of what it is to be America

So, if you cut Israel off, and Hizbollah continued to get aid from Iran and overran Israel, wouldn't you be as guilty of warcrimes because your inaction brought about the War crimes of Hizbollah?

In other words if both sides in a war are committing war crimes, (and Hizbollahs lack of victims is due to Israeli action rather than Hizbollahs lack of effort,) how can anyone simply say, I have to overlook one sides crimes in order to focus on the crimes of the other side?

There can be no justice in only examining one side of the war.
