What about if you suspect that selling the gun might lead to problems, but all the paper work is fine?

The NRA stoutly maintains that trafficking in weapons is not the issue, only those who actually commit the crime are to blame. So those who make the crime easier, have no responsibility. Indeed, the NRA has a very long history of opposing most every form of making gun ownership or purchasing subject to more careful scrutiny.

Whereas you, in the post I commented on, were holding the view that if one failed to act, when one had reason to suspect a certain outcome, one should be held responsible. That is a step further away from acting in a poor manner, when one might have reason to suspect a certain outcome, and not being held responsible.
