BGOODY: I called the TA yesterday to confirm the status of the certificate request. One of the orders was shipped out 9/17/97. However, the woman said that the other request will take some time to process because they have run out of certificates to issue. She told me that the TA has put in a request to the dealer to have more printed. I asked her if there was a time frame by which these certificates need to be in their hands. She said that normally they make it their goal to have the certs sent out to the requestor within 3 days of receiving the request. However, since they have run out of certs, she said that they normally are able to get additional time granted by the SEC. She did not know how much additional time would be granted. Based on the recent actions against us OVIS longs by the Shorters, and with this information given to me by the TA, it would appear that the Short Squeeze which started some time ago has reached a new level. Does anyone know how much time the SEC would grant, and is the term, dealer, the same as MM? Go OVIS.
